Tijs is the workflow team lead at Alfresco. He's been involved in Java, BPM and enterprise integration projects for more than 10 years. Tijs is passionate about open source BPM and integration. He's the author of the Activiti in Action and Open source ESBs in Action Manning books

Joram Barrez is a senior software engineer at Alfresco. He started his career as a consultant, where he discovered the power of open-source BPM in Java. During one of his BPM evangelization talks, he met Tom, which eventually led to him joining JBoss/Red Hat. As a jBPM core developer, Joram was involved with the design and development of jBPM versions 3 and 4. Together with Tom, Joram joined Alfresco and founded the Activiti project.

Joram is a devoted open-source BPM advocate, and never ceases to spread the message of the next generation in BPM through his blog and live presentations at JDD, Devoxx, JUGs, etc..

Frederik is a Software Engineer at Alfresco. Before joining Alfresco, he was first active as a JEE consultant, but evolved into an ECM consultant, working in high-profile and demanding environments.
He is an enthousiast of the Open Source eco-system, which he believes is the true and only way how software should be created.

Author of Activiti Probe, Activiti Explorer & Activiti REST API. Made Spring SURF implementations since the first version, and has a strong passion for UI development. Working for Alfresco since 2008.

Dave Syer is the lead of the Spring Batch project, and frequent contributor to international conferences and press on the subject of batch and offline applications.  He devotes his time to various Spring projects and to working with developers and architects to extract the maximum value from Spring and other open-source products.  He works for the SpringSource division of VMware and lives in London.

Josh Long contributes on integrating Activiti with Spring Integration. He's also a co-author of Apress' "Spring Enterprise Recipes" and "Spring Recipes, 2nd Edition"

With a background in industrial engineering, Tiese is passionate about processes and getting them right. In the past Tiese has worked on various integration and BPM projects based on open source software and focussing on feature design, technical integration and web applications.

Ron is a software architect at Salves with a focus on BPM, SOA, Business Rule Management and of course Open Source Software. Currently Ron is writing the Manning book "Activiti in Action".

Christian is an independent senior software engineer and architect. He is enthusiastic about framework and product development in small, highly skilled teams. He is experienced in BPM product development, has been working as a core developer for a Java-based RIA product and as a consultant and coach on various international Java Enterprise projects. Christian is a strong believer in Open Source software, self-organizing teams and high quality, clean code.

Saeid is a senior software architect at Atos Worldline. He has worked as software architect, project manager and strategist for many projects. In recent years he has been involved in payment and financial sector. Saeid is enthusiastic in designing real life mission critical applications using open source in furthest possible extent.

Tom is passionate about BPM, workflow and Java. He a frequent speaker on those topics at international conferences like Devoxx, JavaOne and others. Tom founded jBPM. It was a first and big step to make BPM technology more broadly adopted. jBPM went up to 25.000 downloads per month. He also pioneered the Process Virtual Machine design for process engines.

David is a UI Engineer at Alfresco and works with Erik on the Activiti web-apps - as an Open Source enthusiast, he's excited by finally being able to work for a company that develops open source software .

Nick is passionate about open source and open development, and has been involved with the Apache Software Foundation since 2003. Nick is chair of the Apache POI project, and as a member of the ASF helps out with mentoring of new projects, and with community development. When not coding, Nick can often be found helping to run and speak at BarCamps, Geek Nights and technology conferences.

Lawrence is a dedicated  designer with a love and aptitude for user-centered and graphic design.   His long-term interest in open-source software development led him to join Alfresco's User Experience team in early 2007. As part of the Activiti team, Lawrence is responsible for the UI design of both Explorer and Probe applications.

Esteban is passionate about integrations, test and model driven development and requirements engineering. He mixes his life between Mule ESB and Requirements engineering for Web applications in which he is a speaker at different conferences like ICWE, XP and ICSE. Previously, Esteban has worked for important companies like Google, EA, Fox Networks and Carrefour before joining Mule

Guillaume Nodet is Software Architect at FuseSource, a Progress Software subsidiary offering Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) products based on leading open source projects hosted by the Apache Software Foundation.
Guillaume has extensive experience within the open source community and is a highly regarded committer across several projects, including Apache ServiceMix, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel. He is a member and VP Apache Karaf at the Apache Software Foundation. Guillaume is also involved in the OSGi Alliance expert groups.

Micha Kiener is Head of Research and Innovation at MIMACOM, a worldwide acting company specialized in Enterprise Java solutions based on Open Source technologies and a pioneer in agile methodologies using Scrum. He is an Open Source advocate and started the workflow initiative at MIMACOM a couple of years ago and is leading the MIMACOM workflow team since. As a lead architect and developer he has many years of practical experience in implementing BPM systems in medium-sized and large enterprises. He is also involved in ICEfaces, an Open Source Ajax framework based on JSF and is a Spring Core and Web committer. He's excited to merge the MIMACOM workflow efforts into Activiti and helping it to become largely adopted by enterprise solutions.

Agim Emruli is a managing director and senior software engineer at MIMACOM. Prior to joining MIMACOM, Agim worked as senior consultant at SpringSource and helped customers building business applications spanning different industries. Agim is also involved in the development of the Spring Framework and a contributor to different national and international conferences. During his career Agim has been focussed on web applications, enterprise integration and pragmatic workflow based enterprise solutions.

Stefan is a senior software engineer at MIMACOM. He works for different projects, mainly in government environments, using the Java EE technologies. Stefan is very passionate in framework development and Open Source software. He is a committer to different edorasware components and utilities and contributed patches to various Open Source projects like ICEfaces or Liferay.

Bernd is co-founder of camunda, a consulting company in the area of BPM with a special focus on Business-IT-Alignment and Process Execution. He is involved in development of jBPM, the BPMN standardization process and gathered a lot of experience in customer projects in that area. Bernd leads the Activiti Cycle component, where he can put his experience around Business-IT-Alignment and real-life requirements in a new kind of collaborative BPM tool.

Daniel Meyer is a technical consultant with Camunda services GmbH specializing in enterprise application architecture, process automation and SOA. He is the module lead of activiti-cdi (Java EE 6 integration) and does occasional work in activiti engine. He also writes activiti related blog posts on www.bpm-guide.de.

Falko is Consultant and Trainer at camunda. He works in the BPMN specification team and has a lot of experience in Process Execution projects. Falko loves Open Source and takes part or hosts several projects himself.

Kristin is consultant, trainer and software developer at camunda. After building an open source based SOA platform in a big telecommunication company she is happy to add her experience to the Activiti project.
